Hello Hello! A quick recap…

Cairns was incredible. We went both bungy jumping at 164ft and skydiving at a whopping 14,000 feet (the highest you can go). Both were incredible to say the least. Then we headed to Sydney last Saturday. Sydney was beautiful but COLD and a bit rainy. We saw the Opera House, went to the Blue Mountains, the Taronga Zoo, toured the city, went to a rugby game, among many other things. It was really really fun! Sydney reminds me of a quieter more laid back New Work. We just arrived in Melbourne today, about 2 hours ago, so I haven’t been able to judge what I think yet. Talk to you all soon…be back in two and a half weeks! I can’t believe it!

Hello Everyone! Just a quick update…

Davis and I are in Cairns now until Saturday. We went scuba diving on the great barrier reef yesterday which was so amazing! I can’t describe how beautiful it was! I am also now addicted to scuba diving…I want to get certified when I get home.

Today we went white water rafting on the Russell River. We had a 45 min hike through the rain forest…and then rafted in two man rafts for about 3 hours. It was a ton of work cause it was just Davis and I in one raft with the guides directing us where to go. So awesome, but now I’m really tired. Tomorrow we go bungee jumping and then HOPEFULLY skydiving on Friday if the weather is good (it’s been raining the past week!).

Talk to you soon…be home in less than a month!

FYI, suitcase problems are (tentatively) solved!

Davis and I had a GREAT visit to the Australia Zoo today…guess what?! We saw Terri, Bindi, and little Bob Irwin!! They were filming around the zoo and we saw them three times! It was pretty awesome. We also held a koala, fed the kangaroos, saw a cheetah up close, saw two croc demos, and fed the elephants! A great day!

Ahhhh! I have tooooo much stuff and too many suitcases now and I don’t know how to get it all home! BLAH. Problem solving skills really need to kick in about now…I hate airline baggage restrictions! Did you know that in the USA we are allowed to take twice as much stuff on the airplane? Traveling to/from the USA you are allowed 2 45 pound bags, but everywhere else in the world you are only allowed 45 pounds TOTAL. Yea I just found this out today…I think I will end up leaving all of my clothes here so I can get everyone’s souvenirs home! Blah, I am just doing a late night vent because I can’t sleep. I’ll figure something out that hopefully isn’t ridiculously expensive.

Okay enough whinging (aussie word for complaining). Davis is finally here! He got here Wednesday and it’s been so great to have him. We had a great barbeque and party on Wednesday, and we’ve been touring around the Sunshine Coast. We leave Monday for our big travel adventures…wish us luck!

Davis comes in ONE DAY! I’m so excited! But I leave Sunshine Coast in one week…that makes me sad. I’m going to miss everyone here so much! I have one more exam Wednesday and then I’ll be done with uni. I’m getting so so excited about mine and Davis’ trip…and then NEW ZEALAND! I can’t wait!
