		<description>here is the letter I wrote to the DTH...hopefully they will print it.
I wonder if Benjamin Brumley ever trips on the sidewalk because his nose is stuck up so far in the air he can&#039;t see the ground.  His idea to increase the number of out of state students due to budget constraints is laughable.  The tax revenue generated by North Carolina citizens that supports our school is not only from this year.  My parents have been paying into the system for much longer to support this university and the UNC system.  Just because this year less of that money is going to the school does not discount all the other years that my parents, and other in-staters&#039; parents have been paying taxes to run this university.  Maybe accepting more out of state students would raise our national rankings, but the purpose of this university first and foremost is to educate the people of North Carolina.  I certainly wouldn&#039;t want to deny a North Carolina citizen an UNC-Chapel Hill education just so we can let in more pretentious out-of-staters like Benjamin.  I get so tired of out-of-staters constantly boasting of their superior intellects.  There are enough out-of-state students already, and I don&#039;t think the extra money is worth the extra egos.</description>
