I got an iPod touch for Christmas — HUGE HUGE HUGE surprise — and of course I was pumped to have it for our drive to Florida. I didn’t know what to listen to while I was driving since my mom nixed Girl Power about halfway through Feed the Animals, so I Geniused On the Radio by Regina Spektor, and it’s my favorite Genius yet! I managed to find everything in seeqpod except Your Ex-Lover is Dead by Of Montreal. Genius! I love you!

For ENG 314, Technical Document Design and Editing, we had to redesign a newsletter. I chose to redo the City of Olympia’s urban forestry newsletter, the Gazetree. I’m really proud of the way it turned out!

Also, last year I wrote and designed this magazine article for ENG 333. I was really happy with the way it came out, just kept forgetting to post it.

Ultimate Motivation!

I’ve been working my way through “Cracking the GRE” for the past few weeks, stimulating reading, let me tell ya. I’ve been doing my best to cram vocabulary definitions in my head, and one suggestion the book has is to start a vocabulary notebook. When you come across words you don’t know, you write them down and look up the definitions.

Well, lucky for me I won the Cake Walk (but not for cakes) at our family picnic this weekend, and what was my prize? This fantastic Pirates of the Carribean Will Taylor/Orlando Bloom spiral notebook, which just happens to also be available on eBay.

Perfect vocabulary notebook? Ultimate motivation to study for the GRE? I THINK SO.
