In other not-so-exciting news, I found out on Friday that I was not accepted into the Master’s program at University of Vermont. GRE wasn’t high enough. :( Definitely not meant to be. I’ve started processing the possibility of staying in Raleigh for another year, and I think that will be okay. Just another obstacle to figure out where I’m supposed to be. I sure don’t know what the heck I want.

And I’ve realized the more funny or ironic my notes are, the more likely I am to accomplish said task. That’s weird, I know. But whatever.

I am not the least bit ashamed to admit I have real trouble waking up, and am the worst snoozer ever, sometimes hitting the button for one+ hours. To wake up, I’ve written myself such fantastic notes as:

- WAKE THE HELL UP! Do something with your life.
- WAKE UP YOU DUMMY.
- WAKE UP! You have to hike with Maggie. (sadly unsuccessful, but I think we at least made it to the Global Village part of our adventure.)
- WAKE UP AND SHOWER. You smell.

These are always strategically placed over my alarm clock so I can’t see the time. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Lately I’ve been really bad about forgetting to take my allergy medicine in the morning, and I end up sniffling and being miserable all day. You’d think I’d remember this in the morning, but I’m not the clearest of thinkers in early hours of the day, so I resort to:

I cannot forget the achoo’s and miserable eyes with that staring at me in the mirror!

Like most things in my life, including mix cd names, I don’t write my stuff anymore. I just kick it from my head you know what I’m saying, I can do that. No disrespect. But that’s how I am.

I’m currently procrastinating on a paper that really would not be hard to write with proper time and effort, I just cannot get myself into gear, and Regina Spektor is hardcore distracting me. As is wikipedia, twitter, last.fm, and of course this darn blog. Amazingly I’ve been able to steer clear of facebook. I think my next procrastination move will be to migrate to the library because “I need to find some hard copy references.” Uh, yeah. Motivation, I’VE LOST YOU PLEASE COME BACK. PLEASE PLEASE.
