Soundtrack for the rain

Posted: November 16th, 2009 | Author: hannah | Filed under: I like some music | No Comments »

I’ve learned that one key to success in the rain is having a good soundtrack. An iPod and good songs makes the walk back from the bus stop in the cold rain a great experience. I would highly recommend improving your rainy days with some music! Some of my favorite rainy day soundtrack songs are…

Feist – I Feel It All
The Avett Brothers – Kick Drum Heart
Passion Pit – Better Things
Owl City – Hello Seattle (DUH!)

The XX – Islands

Phoenix – Lizstomania

YACHT – Psychic City

Friendly Fires – Jump in the Pool

Why I want to go to Bonnaroo.

Noah and the Whale – 5 Years Time

You don’t know me at all!

Posted: September 11th, 2008 | Author: hannah | Filed under: I like some music | No Comments »

Ben Folds and Regina Spektor have been keeping me afloat the past couple of weeks. Being iPodless and computerless for several days in there made it so that I didn’t hear “You Don’t Know Me” at all. (HA! I didn’t even intend for that little play on words there to happen…they keep creeping in my thoughts!) Anyway, now that I have a fill-in computer, I can listen to it once again. My life is complete.

The computer repair shop called today, and said my motherboard went bad, and they could get one for $400. Luckily my dad found one on eBay for $150 and knows how to install it. Fingers crossed that that is actually the problem and all will be well.
