If you’re a frequent aimp’er you know that I’m attempting to grow my hair out after having short hair for a really really long time. I can say now that my hair is the longest it’s been since 2000. Nine years! Woah! Long for me equals maybe an inch below my shoulders, an inch and a half if I straighten it. I can also say that I really like this length!
Being crippled has admittedly made me severely neglect my appearance. Those who’ve been kind enough to visit me, especially during my four days of being stuck in a recliner, can attest to that. I’ve been throwing my hair up in a pony tail mostly, so I haven’t taken stock of its length since, well, May 23rd when I first broke my foot. And it’s pretty darn long! And so far I am not tempted to cut it off. We’ll see how I continue during the hot, hot NC summer months. But I am more determined then ever this time! When I do end up cutting my hair though (it’s definitely a when, not an if!) I think I will cut it back to this length. It’s a good balance between short and long.

So I have this reoccurring dream that happened to jostle me awake just now and I can’t go back asleep.
Here’s what happened tonight: I was driving in the minivan with two other people (they were not distinct people) and I was stopped at the red light at Blue Ridge and Western. It was late at night, and there were no cars coming. For whatever reason, I consciously ran the red light and played it off to my passengers as, “Woah, I can’t believe I just did that! I didn’t realize it!” I immediately see the dreaded blue lights behind me and proceed to try and pull over, at which point I find myself not being able to slow down or control the steering wheel. With the cop behind me the van hits the side of the road, spins — I think to myself, “I hope this is a dream,” and I was jerked awake, very relieved that it is a dream. But now I can’t sleep.
I have dreams about not being able to control the minivan at least once a month I would say. Typically it’s weird situations where my brain is TELLING my body to get control, or I am able to have control of the car, but just am not in control for some reason. I usually seem to be in some sort of daze in my dream — like I should be able to control the car but can’t. It’s a very strange, very real, often frightening feeling. There’s probably some deep meaning behind this, but I’m bored of this dream. Next please.

Today I fully intended to clean my room, as I have been intending for, oh say, the last week and a half, but once again I have yet to do so. Piles of clothes, clean clothes might I add, are still piled everywhere and tree identification guides are scattered about. Maybe, I say maybe, once I do eventually get my room in order I will be able to actually keep it that way. Maybe.
However, I did manage to semi-fix my theme layout. I got the little bug worked out with the navigation, but I couldn’t figure out why the tree trunk wouldn’t extend down the page in Firefox. I just ended up taking the tree trunk out. Maybe it will return if I can ever figure that glitch out.
